Advertiser Disclosure
Last updated: 20 October 2026
www.bonushunters.co.nz publishes information about online gambling. This page explains how commercial relationships work, how we identify paid content, and how we keep advertising separate from editorial decisions. It applies to content presented to readers in New Zealand.
For New Zealand readers: We do not display paid online casino advertisements, publish paid casino endorsements, or earn commission-based payments for referring New Zealand users to online casinos. These arrangements are restricted under New Zealand law.
How Our Website Is Funded
Our articles are free to read. The website may receive income from lawful advertising or commercial activities in other markets. An arrangement permitted overseas is not necessarily permitted in New Zealand.
| Commercial arrangement | How it works | For NZ readers |
|---|---|---|
| Cost per acquisition (CPA) | A payment triggered by a qualifying action, such as registration or a deposit. | Not used for online casino referrals. |
| Revenue share | A commission based on revenue attributed to referred players. | Not used for online casino referrals. |
| Paid casino placements or endorsements | Payment for promoting or featuring a casino. | Not published in NZ-facing content. |
| Other advertising | Advertising unrelated to online casino gambling, where legally permitted. | May appear and is clearly labelled if present. |
Can Advertising Affect Our Ratings or Rankings?
Editorial assessments and advertising placements serve different purposes. The following rules explain how we separate them.
| Website element | Our approach |
|---|---|
| Casino reviews and ratings | Operators cannot buy a higher score or dictate our review conclusions. |
| Editorial comparisons | Content decisions follow the criteria described in our Editorial Policy. |
| Paid advertising | Where legally permitted, commercial placements are identified and kept distinct from editorial rankings. |
| Corrections and updates | Operators may flag inaccuracies, but the editorial team decides whether a correction is justified. |
How We Identify Advertising
Where advertising is permitted, we identify paid content using labels such as Advertisement or Sponsored. A paid placement is not presented as an independent editorial recommendation. An advertising label also does not mean that the advertised business is licensed to operate in New Zealand.
Online Casino Advertising in New Zealand
As at 20 October 2026, online casino advertising to people in New Zealand is prohibited while the national licensing regime is being introduced. New Zealand's regulations also prohibit casino advertisements involving affiliate arrangements. A licence issued in another country does not itself authorise an operator to advertise in New Zealand.
For current rules, see the Department of Internal Affairs' guidance for advertisers and the Online Casino Gambling Regulations 2026.
Questions About Commercial Relationships
Not through referrals made to New Zealand readers. In some other markets, websites may receive CPA or revenue-share commissions, but those online casino referral arrangements are not used for our New Zealand-facing content.
No. Review findings and ratings are editorial decisions. Our assessment criteria and correction process are explained in the Editorial Policy.
Yes. Affiliate commissions depend on a later action or outcome, while a fixed fee may be paid simply for displaying an advertisement. However, a fixed fee does not automatically make online casino advertising lawful in New Zealand.
